Here's a little back story on why I'm doing a review of the Rimmel London Wake me up concealer and foundation. For a long time now I had only been using the Rimmel London "Hide the blemish concealer", and no foundation on top or whatever, then lately my skin began getting little dry patches. These dry patches were making it hard to apply the concealer as the concealer would just stick to the dry patches and not cover any spots or blemishes of any kind. So I decided to try out the Rimmel London Wake me up concealer (and later the foundation).
I wanted to do a review about both the concealer and the foundation as I have tried both products, hopefully this review helps in some kind of way and makes you decide to try the products or helps you in avoiding purchasing them.
First I shall review the concealer...
I don't actually know what shade I bought the concealer in as the label has rubbed off and it doesn't mention the colour on the packaging. I think I bought Soft Beige....
The colour of the concealer did match my skin fairly well as I have quite fair/pale skin (with slight yellow and pink undertones). I found that the coverage was very good in some areas - but on my dry patches of skin, I did find it a little harder to use, but after using a little more moisturizer it worked much better.
I also found the concealer very long lasting, especially where my dark circles were, and I didn't have to touch up my makeup throughout the day at all.

I have very odd skin as I have some dry patches but then my T-Zone is kind of oily (the T-Zone is from your forehead, down your nose and onto your chin - the shape forms a T). This concealer is better for people who have oilier skin as I found that the concealer mattified my T-Zone slightly, but for people who have much dryer skin I wouldn't really recommend this concealer as you don't want to make your skin look any more dry, you want it to look a bit more dewy and soft.
The packaging the concealer came in was very compact, so it would be good to take on the go, and I liked the shade of orange that the concealer wand handle came in.
The only real problem with the concealer was that it didn't come in the widest variety of shades, and that matching the concealer to the foundation was extremely confusing. It's really hard to explain. but I shall try...
Okay, so I purchased the concealer Soft Beige, and then I bought the foundation in the shade Ivory. (This is where it gets confusing) But when I got home and compared the shades, the foundation and concealer didn't match...It looked like the foundation shade was much darker compared to the concealer, even though Ivory is (should be) lighter than Soft Beige.
~I'm sorry if none of that made sense btw, it's hard to explain~
Now I'm going to talk about the foundation.

The foundation did have good coverage. (it was okay covering my dry patches), and It did last a very long time.
I really liked the packaging of the foundation, the bottler was glass which made it seem more expensive and fancy and the foundation did have a pump so I didn't have to pour it onto the back of my wrist like with some other foundations out there. And they used the same nice shade of orange for both the concealer and foundation.
The only real trouble was when I was having particularly bad skin days where my skin was extremely dry, the foundation didn't cover as well and made me look orange and patchy,so If you did have very dry skin, I wouldn't use this foundation, but if your skin has some dry days and some more normal and clearer days then I would recommend purchasing this foundation.
My only major problem that annoyed me was how the colour's of both the foundation and concealer weren't consistent, and that the colour Ivory was somehow darker than the shade Soft Beige, and if I didn't blend the foundation a lot then I would look like an orange.
I hope sharing my experience of using these products did help you in some way :)
